Is BreakUpEasy.com against people resolving their differences among themselves?

Absolutely not! In fact, we would prefer that people that can communicate in such a way do so. Unfortunately, there are some that cannot. Conflict in all parts of life, is a way of life. We here at BreakUpEasy.com are simply yet another means of resolving such conflict.

Why do you not charge a fee for your services?

Because we are BreakUp”Easy”, not BreakUp”Fee”sy. Moving on to a better part of life should not have to cost a person anything but the time they invested or wasted. Charging money for our services would be exploitive, and we are not in the business of exploitation.

Why do you sell merchandise on your site?

To keep our services FREE.

Do you see anything wrong with breaking up with people this way? Doesn't it seem impersonal?

No. Our services are inherent to the world and technology as it stands today. People use technology to meet all the time, as well as to end a relationship. We are simply streamlining the process, thereby making it easier for a person to move on.

Do I have to register for an account to BreakUp with someone?

No. No account is required in order to submit a BreakUp request on our website.

If the services are free, why do you ask people to register?

Registration is also free. The sole purpose for people registering is to have the ability to minimize the amount of spam and junk entries we get on our blogs and other parts of the BreakUpEasy.com online community.

So for instance, if someone was using cruel and obscene language against another member, we would have the ability to identify and address that issue quickly. Other sites without such restrictions tend to fall victim to spam, viruses, and other types of malicious attacks.

I'm thinking about breaking up, but I'm not sure. What should I do?

If you are unsure of whether or not to break up with a person, try our State Your Case feature. Here you can post your situation and set a voting period between 15-30 days. During this time, your fellow subscribers will review your case and vote on it.

Once time is up, your case will close and you can view the verdict. Based on those results, you can make a better decision. You can open a case by using just your first name (examples: John, Jane), or even be anonymous.

Will you post my information online if I BreakUp with somebody?

Absolutely not! A BreakUp is between the parties involved, and them alone. We will never post anything about your or anyone’s break up. We only show the number of breakups done within a given period of time. We never show names, reasons or anything specific to an individual. All details about a BreakUp are completely confidential and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We are not in the business of humiliating anyone, just giving people the closure they need to move on.

Can I get a copy of the BreakUp I sent for my records?

Sure can! All BreakUps automatically produce a copy for the sender. Once the BreakUp request has been submitted, you will get a reference number and a link to an official company document (.PDF format) which you can print, and keep to do with as you please.

I completed a break up request awhile ago. Can I still get a copy?

Currently, only registered members can have access to their BreakUp requests, and the ability to print copies of them. If you lost your reference number, contact us.

What is State Your Case?

State Your Case (Awaiting Patent Pending Status) is an Online Relationship Voting System. This exclusive BreakUpEasy.com feature allows someone who is unsure of the future of their relationship to post their information (anonymously or not) into the system.

The case filer (you) can select a time period (15,20,30 days), and control who (male or female) can vote and/or comment on their case. Once the case has been submitted, it will be considered live on the State Your Case system. Only registered users of the BreakUpEasy.com community can vote and comment on cases, while guests can ONLY VOTE on them.

No registration is required, and cases can be cancelled at any time.

My case ended without any votes. What should I do?

If your case closes without votes, you may edit and resubmit your case for review.

The BreakUpEasy.com Team cancelled my case early. Why?

Most likely there was content in your case which violated our Terms of Service. If you are a registered user, please check your alert messages on your My Account page, or contact us if you are a guest (choose option: Guest Relations).

My case ended with a verdict, but someone put spam or offensive comments within it. What should I do?

Report that person to the BreakUpEasy.com staff, and we will take it from there. Registered users who file cases also have the ability to delete and remove comments.

Can I vote on my own case?

No you cannot. And when you think about it, what would be the point?

Can I vote on other people's cases while my case is being voted on?

Absolutely!

I tried to leave comments on a case and it would not let me. Why is that?

There are two possible reasons why you could be prohibited from leaving a comment. If the person that filed the case is between the ages of 13-15, and you are a registered user that is 18 years of age or older, you will only be allowed to VOTE ONLY on these cases. This measure has been put in place to protect minors that use our system. Another reason you may not be able to leave comments is if the case filer selected VOTES ONLY.

Why is this better than let's say, asking my friends and family?

It’s been our experience that some (not all) friends and family have a tendency to not be completely honest as they don’t want to hurt or offend the ones they care about. The people closest to you tend to want to stay on your good side.

With State Your Case, you’re getting the opinions of people that have been through what you’re going through. They do not know you personally, so the likelihood of them being biased is slim to none.
